Pavement Design

LMJ&A offers several services to assist in pavement design including soil borings for pavement recommendations,  pavement materials testing, pavement evaluations, and a detailed pavement analysis.  Typical pavement design recommendations include site preparation recommendations, compaction recommendations, recommended materials, and recommended thicknesses of materials.  Pavement evaluations include visual inspections and/or pavement cores to determine thicknesses of pavement and base materials.   A detailed pavement analysis can provide the estimated allowable number of repetitions to failure or design life of a specific pavement system.  This analysis requires knowledge of the pavement system and a traffic analysis and is performed using a sophisticated computer program.
