MISSION STATEMENT

LMJ&A's mission is to provide superior quality professional geotechnical engineering and materials testing services at a reasonable price.  We will strive to ensure the success of our clients while developing and maintaining long-lasting relationships using a higher level of care, our unsurpassed experience in the Gulf Coast area and our extensive knowledge of local soils.

Our goal is to promote a better understanding of geotechnical engineering and materials testing to minimize risk exposures and to benefit the entire community.

We are committed to identifying and solving your subsurface problems through proper subsurface explorations using our well trained drilling staff in communication with our professional engineering staff and with the project's design team to exceed the expectations of our clients and maintain our reputation for excellence. 

Established in 1976 by Larry M. Jacobs, PE, we specialize in quality professional geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and drilling services with over 55 years of combined engineering experience in the gulf coast area.  We have a professional and experienced in-house drilling department to perform quality drilling services including auger borings and Standard Penetration Test borings as part of a well designed subsurface exploration.  Members of our professional engineering staff are registered and active in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and inactive in Louisiana, Tennessee and S. Carolina.  We are members of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Florida Engineering Society (FES), Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society, the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce, and the Ft. Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce.  We also have well trained and ACI certified laboratory technicians to perform a wide variety of materials testing services.  We work on a wide range of projects ranging from residences to multistory structures.
