Materials Testing

LMJ specializes in providing high quality and professional construction materials testing services.  We have two full service construction materials testing laboratories located in downtown Pensacola and in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  We are accredited by the Construction Materials Engineering Council (CMEC) to perform testing of soil, concrete, and aggregate, and we are qualified to provide testing services for the FDOT. 

Established in 1976, we have over 30 years of experience in providing construction materials testing services for Pensacola and the surrounding Gulf Coasts of Florida and Alabama.  Our technicians are certified by CPN to perform nuclear density tests and by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) to perform concrete and aggregate materials testing.  We have an ACI certified Aggregate Field Testing Technician, a FDOT certified Limerock Bearing Ratio (LBR) Technician, and a FDOT Earthwork Construction Inspector.  We maintain a conscientious program of continuing education in order to provide current up to date materials testing services.  We routinely monitor pile-driving operations and auger cast pile installation and provide foundation certifications, perform inspections and tests of soil, concrete, aggregate, post-tension cables, asphalt, and steel.  We also offer complete vibration monitoring services using the latest vibration recording equipment.  And, if a standard for a test does not exist, we can make one up.
