Val joined LMJ in March of 2016 as a CAD technician and quickly moved into project management. Val is originally from Romania and earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Cluj in 2014. He earned his EIT in September of 2019 and received his Florida and Alabama Professional Engineering licenses in 2022. Val’s experience includes analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations, flexible and rigid pavement, stormwater systems, sheet pile walls and preloading; augercast piles; settlement analysis; the evaluation of settled structures; value engineering; and project management.
Val is fluent in Romanian, Russian and English. While Val’s wife is also Romanian they actually met here in the states and married in 2018. Val and his beautiful wife reside in Orange Beach, Alabama. When Val can find a bit of free time you can find him woodworking, cycling, dabbling in photography, and traveling overseas.
